Violet is both edible and medicinal as well as an attractive woodland wildflower. The leaves are alterative, laxative, nutritive and demulcent. An excellent lymphatic herb, Violet is used for chronic lymphatic swelling and stagnant lymph especially associated with constipation. It can be utilized for mastitis, arthralgias with impaired lymph flow, and skin conditions (orally and topically) |
