Maitake is another mushroom that, like Reishi, is an immune amphoteric. It is indicated for hyper immune response (allergies, auto-immune disease) or hypo immune activity (cancer, HIV, CFS). Maitake lowers blood pressure and is an important endocrine/immune tropho-restorative that enhances macrophage, N-killer cell and T-cell activity. It has been useful in therapy for AIDS, cancer and hypertension. Maitake's liver protecting activity makes it an excellent part of any hepatitis protocol. |
