Eyebright is useful in cases of acute irritation of the sinuses, nasal passages and eyes with profuse mucus, irritation, and itching. Eyebright is also indicated for hay fever, sinusitis, head colds and ear infections (otitis media) in children. The dried herb is relatively inert, but can be used as an eyewash (saline solution) for simple conjunctivitis. |
