Chinese Peony acts as a sedative, analgesic, antispasmodic and nervine. It reduces spasms and pain including menstrual cramps, angina and petit mal seizures. It is helpful for migraine headaches and resolves night sweats caused by deficient yin patterns. Chinese Peony also shows promise as an aid for polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) with Saw Palmetto and Licorice as well as for treating uterine fibroids. |
